What is a prosthodontist?

What should I expect at my first appointment?
The purpose of your initial visit is to allow our team to assess your dental health, and it typically will not involve treatment unless you are experiencing a dental emergency. Dr. Ajey Varma will perform a comprehensive examination of your smile, and will take radiographs or impressions as needed. During this time, he will consult you about your dental concerns and goals to ensure your treatment yields the desired results.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
We encourage you to arrive early for your first appointment with the following materials on hand:
- Your identification (eg, a driver’s license)
- A referral from your general dentist (if applicable)
- Your new patient forms
- Any X-rays taken within the last six months (if applicable)

What is a dental implant?
