Implants
Dental implants are an excellent option for the replacement of teeth. Implant restoration looks and feels very natural and returns confidence and comfort to your smile.
From single tooth replacement to providing stability and retention for complete dentures; implants can improve the quality of your life.
Enjoy eating and smiling again!
A dental implant is a titanium post which is placed in the jaw to replace a natural root. Bone attaches to the implant to secure it to the jaw. This process is termed osseointegration. Once the implant is osseointegrated, it can be restored appropriately.
Dentures can be completely eliminated by placing multiple implants and restoring them with fixed bridges. Patients who have lost their teeth to periodontal disease or trauma now have a very natural tooth replacement alternative. Imagine never having to wear dentures ever again!
The Implant Procedure
Implant Dentistry Consists of Two Phases:
- The first phase involves placing the implant into the jaw. Once the implant is placed, bone will form around it to secure it in place. This process is called osseointegration.
- The second phase is the restorative phase. The implant is ready for restoration once osseointegration is complete. Restoration involves fabrication of the crown, bridge or denture which is ultimately secured to the implant(s).
