Implants
Dental implants are an excellent option for the replacement of teeth. Implant restoration looks and feels very natural and returns confidence and comfort to your smile.
From single-tooth replacement, to providing stability and retention for complete dentures; implants can improve the quality of your life.
Enjoy eating and smiling again!
What Is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a titanium post, which is placed in the jaw to replace a natural root. Bone attaches to the implant to secure it to the jaw. This process is termed osseointegration. Once the implant is osseointegrated, it can be restored appropriately.
How Can Implants Help Me?
An implant is ready for restoration once it is osseointegrated. Implant restoration can vary from replacing a single tooth to stabilizing a complete denture.
Single Tooth Replacement
One implant is placed in the area of the missing tooth. A porcelain crown is fabricated and secured to the implant to provide a very natural restoration. Preparation, or modification, of natural teeth is not required for implant restoration.
Multiple Tooth Replacement Two or more implants are placed to support a fixed bridge eliminating the need for a removable partial denture.
Stabilizing a Denture
As few as two implants can be used to stabilize a complete or partial denture. This is a fantastic procedure which gives renewed confidence and comfort to denture patients.
Full Mouth Implant RestorationDentures can be completely eliminated by placing multiple implants and restoring them with fixed bridges. Patients who have lost their teeth to periodontal disease or trauma now have a very natural tooth replacement alternative.
Imagine never having to wear dentures ever again!
The Implant Procedure
Implant Dentistry Consists of Two Phases:
The restorative phase is performed by a prosthodontist – a certified specialist in reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry.
